Storyville is a HiFi Hospitality concept assisted by executive chef Angel Garcia—who also leads the kitchen at sister concept, Chalet. Andouille sausage sizzles, gumbo bubbles in the pot, and the aroma of bananas caramelizing over rich vanilla ice cream fill the room, creating an atmosphere that can only be found at Storyville Chicago.

The Storyville neighborhood in New Orleans was home to Lulu White, one of the most notorious and financially successful madams in the late 19th century. Our basement speakeasy continues her enduring legacy right here in River North. Step into Lulu's Chambre Privée late-night lounge and take in the decadent decor and live cabaret performances. Lulu's menu features a unique "Blue Book" cocktail menu-- perfect for your night out. Lulu's Chambre Privée is open Thursdays 11 PM-CLOSE | Fridays and Saturdays 7 PM-CLOSE

    Due to our intimate venue, seating is limited at Storyville. We recommend that you reserve a table as early as possible to ensure that you are able to secure your spot. Still can't find a reservation? Sign up for our email list and we'll let you know when one opens up! 

  • How do I make a reservation at the speakeasy?

    Lulu’s Chambre Privée is available for reservations on Friday and Saturday from 9 PM to close. All reservations can be made via the reservations button above. 

  • Do you allow private events?

    Storyville Chicago offers private parties for groups of all sizes. Our unique venue layout allows for multiple private and semi-private options for dining, including our private speakeasy. All inquiries can be made at our private events page!



The Chef

Since Chef Angel Garcia began working at Storyville, he has created a whirlwind of creative dishes that are inspired by his own ideas in addition to authentic New Orleans style comfort food. Taking inspiration from his mother's creative take on food, he enjoys pairing Storyville's unique atmosphere with delicious cajun inspired dishes that feature bold flavor from quality ingredients.
